304 Wholecloth with your IQ
April 14, 2010, from 8 am to 12 pm - Providence, RI, US
Speaker: Linda Lawson
Do you have a wholecloth design in your head or drawn out on paper that you want to finally execute with the IntelliQuilter? Come join Linda and learn how she uses the IQ to the fullest. We will be using a block library of shapes (to be given out to students) for design work, a creative method for marking registrations (including rays) and tips and tricks on getting the fabric to “behave” while being stitched on. Embellishment and trapunto (using the IQ) demonstrations will also be included. Just when you thought it couldn’t be done with a computerized system, learn how a little creativity from you, and all the bells and whistles of the IntelliQuilter can help you produce a wholecloth quilt like you never dreamed you could do.
PRIVATE TRAINING
If you feel you need extra instruction after you've been aquainted with your IQ for a while, you are able to schedule one on one training. This training is not a structured class. This is extra training where I will come in and answer questions you might have on excecuting some of the basic or more advanced features of the IQ software.
Some of the more advanced features you might have questions on are background fills in large areas (ie., behind borders), borders without turning, sizing designs into odd block shapes, etc.
More than one student can attend these sessions if you would like to split costs with other owners in your area. There will be times that I might be in your area for an installation. If this is the case, the travel fee will be considerably lower. Please check the calendar often.
